Services

Every layer of your security, from one team.

Twelve things we install, service and repair. Most properties need three or four of them, working together rather than fighting each other.

CCTV installation

Most systems record something. Fewer record a plate, a face, or a sequence clear enough to act on afterwards. The difference is rarely the camera: it is where it points, what it can see once the sun goes down, and whether the footage is still on the drive three weeks later when you go looking. We survey the property first, plan placement and lensing around the incidents it is actually likely to face, then walk you through the footage before we leave.

  • New installations, home or commercial
  • Extending or upgrading an existing system
  • IP, analogue and hybrid
  • Wireless links where cable will not run
  • Thermal for low light and wide perimeters
  • Facial recognition where entry needs logging
  • Storage sized to how far back you need to see
  • Secure remote viewing from phone or PC

CCTV servicing and repair

A camera that has been offline for a month is worse than no camera, because you were counting on it. Systems drift: drives fill, firmware ages, a channel drops after a power surge and nobody notices until the week it matters. We service what we installed and what we did not, including systems put in by someone who has since disappeared.

  • Cameras offline, some or all
  • Recorder not recording
  • Remote viewing that has stopped working
  • Picture gone dark, soft or discoloured
  • Footage missing or overwritten too soon
  • Drive, power supply and cable repairs
  • Firmware and software updates
  • Scheduled servicing that finds faults first

Gate motor installation and repair

The gate is the one thing on a property that moves every day, which is why it is usually the first thing to fail. We install sliding and swing motors, and we fix the ones that have given up. Tell us the make and roughly how old it is and we can often price the repair before anyone drives out.

  • Sliding gate motors
  • Swing motors, single and double
  • Replacing a motor that has failed
  • Remotes, receivers and keypads
  • Safety beams and loop detectors
  • Batteries and backup power
  • Gate stuck open, stuck closed or running intermittently
  • Tied into intercom and access control

Access control

Cameras tell you who came in after the fact. Access control decides whether they get in at all, and leaves a record of every door, every badge and every time. It is the difference between suspecting a staff member and knowing which card opened the stockroom at 04:12.

  • Biometric fingerprint readers
  • Keypads and PIN entry
  • RFID cards and tags
  • Magnetic locks and strike locks
  • Full audit trail of entries
  • Tied into gates and intercoms

Alarm systems

Detection is only half of it. An alarm nobody hears and nothing responds to is an expensive noise. We specify around how the property is actually used, so it arms without a fight at closing time and does not cry wolf until the staff stop believing it.

  • Intruder detection
  • Panic buttons
  • Armed response integration
  • Wired or wireless
  • Zoned arming for areas still occupied
  • Any property size

Electric fencing and perimeter

Everything else on this page responds to something that has already started. The perimeter is the one layer that stops it at the boundary line, before anyone is standing in your yard deciding what to do next.

  • Shock-enabled electric fencing
  • Zoned breach alerts
  • Automated gates
  • Boom barriers
  • Integration with cameras and alarms

Retail loss prevention and Sensormatic

Shops lose most of their stock through the front door, one item at a time, and the camera that recorded it rarely gets any of it back. Pedestals at the exit stop it happening instead of documenting it. We install and calibrate Sensormatic systems, and calibration is the part that matters: a system that false-alarms all morning gets quietly switched off by the staff inside a fortnight.

  • Sensormatic pedestal installation
  • Hard tags, labels and lanyards
  • Deactivation and detachers at the till
  • Calibration and false alarm tuning
  • Servicing systems already installed
  • Advice on which lines are worth tagging

Wireless bridge installation

Some cameras end up where cable cannot reasonably go: across a yard, over a public road, on a second building, at the far end of a farm. A point-to-point wireless bridge carries the link instead of a trench. Done properly it is as dependable as fibre. Done badly it drops every time the weather turns, which is why we survey the line of sight before quoting rather than after.

  • Point-to-point links between buildings
  • Point-to-multipoint across a larger site
  • Line-of-sight survey before we quote
  • Bringing remote cameras back to one recorder
  • Weatherproof mounting and surge protection
  • Existing links realigned and retuned

Smart devices and sensors

Not everything worth knowing about is an intruder. A cold room drifting overnight, a pump that has stopped, a door standing open after closing, water spreading across a floor in an empty building. Smart sensors put those on your phone alongside the cameras, so one system tells you about the quiet problems as well as the loud ones.

  • Temperature, water and movement sensors
  • Door and window contacts
  • Smart switches and lighting control
  • IoT devices on your existing network
  • Alerts to your phone
  • Tied into the cameras and access control

WiFi, networking and IT

Modern security runs on the network, which means a security system is only ever as reliable as the cabling underneath it. This is the layer most installers hand to somebody else, and it is where a surprising share of the faults we get called out to actually begin.

  • WiFi coverage across a site
  • Structured cabling
  • Fibre
  • Wireless links between buildings
  • On-premises and cloud servers
  • Network design sized for camera loads

Cybersecurity

An internet-connected camera sitting on an unsecured network is a door you did not know you had left open. Remote viewing is worth having, but only if the way in is protected as carefully as the gate is.

  • Firewalls
  • Antivirus
  • Vulnerability assessments
  • Secure remote access configuration

After-hours emergency callouts

Some faults will not wait until Monday. A gate stuck open overnight, an alarm nobody can silence, a system down the evening before the premises close for a long weekend. We do come out after hours for genuine emergencies. It depends on the job and who is free, so call and ask rather than assume, and you will get a straight answer either way. This is not a 24 hour standby contract, and we would rather say so now than have you find out at eleven at night.

  • A gate stuck open or stuck closed
  • An alarm that will not stop sounding
  • A system down before a shutdown or long weekend
  • Damage after a break-in
  • Storm, lightning or power surge damage
  • Answered case by case, on the job and who is available

Not sure which you need

Most sites need three or four of these, not one.

Which ones, and in what order, depends on how the property is laid out and what you are actually worried about losing. Send photos or a short video of the site and our technicians can price most of it without leaving the workshop. If it needs seeing in person, the visit is free.
